After correcting an error in an application stopscript the effect of the PATCH was visible. rg_move (offline, and acquire) give the desired (and expected) behavior.

The resource group offline command/option, without the patch is not working as expected. We have had a couple other "learning" errors (problem with stopscript now), but I guess the next question is:
which version of HACMP, and which PATCH level do you have installed.

While teaching HACMP this week the same problem occurred while bringing a resource offline. What we are seeing is the the release_* event scripts are not being called.
Basically, the behavior is what I would expect with a node stop in "forced" mode, or as HACMP 5.4 calls it -> "unmanaged".
We are doing an update with PTF1 of HACMP 5.4. Will post more when known.

I'll think about the commands and output I would need to see.

I would need to see the resource group definitions as a start.
Try running cl_verify.

But the IP address belongs to the resource group appear in both the nodes...saying IP address conflict error.
But, when I verified the /tmp/hacmp.out...alll the logs are fine.
How do i Solve the issue..??
