Sean,
I doubt if anyone here could verify that, and if they could, they would not. 2013 is a long way away. I doubt even IBM will say which version of AIX will be current in 2013.
All I can say about AIX is I have never ever heard any comment from anyone credible that AIX is going to be retracted - although I have spoken to people who visited Linux conferences two or three years ago and said they were told by Linux specialists that AIX would be extinct by 2008. Obviously speculation or wishful thinking on their part -and certainly untrue.
Anything said about HP/UX in these terms is speculation - and I prefer to not speculate on things I have no or limited knowledge of.
I am looking forward to your contributions elsewhere in the forums!

Hello there.
My first post.
I've heard that the HP/UX OS is to be phased out by 2013. Can anyone verfiy this. From what I hear Linux is the next generation OS for HP Servers.
Regards to all
