I am still using gzip 1.2.4 from 1993 - so that is not likely to be what you want.

Time to look for sources.

Maybe you could use bzip2 - now standard on AIX.

Hello everybody,

I’m looking for executable gzip version able to work with input file >2GB,
to work with AIX version 5.3.3.

Any help grateful accepted.
