afaik TSM agent is standard in VIO Software now. And there is also the general RMC monitoring, Service Focal Point monitoring via HMC, etc..
Several solutions are possible.

Monitoring the VIO server
«

Has anyone managed to get the VIO server into a monitoring program? We are deploying VIO to a select few servers as a trial in production (so far its worth it in the testbed) and I am curious about monitoring and trending the VIO servers. From what I can tell with the HACMP setup we have with our LPARS a VIO server can go down and everything will just switch over.
This is great and all But I need to be alerted if this happens in production. There is nothing like thinking that everything is copesitic and have the servers stability hanging by a thread (or a newbie unplugging the wrong server again).
Any tips would be great.
Thanks,
Michael
