Ah, an 'easy' question.

The disks arent switched, only the name= part of an ODM record. Basically, you probably have adapters in different slots, or the cabling is different. What has happened is during 'discovery' by the configuration manager (cfgmgr) the disks are seen in a different order.

For HACMP this means nothing, as HACMP uses the VGID and PVID to locate objects. However, it does make documentation difficult.

As the volume groups are concurrent, offline the volumn group on one of the nodes, do rmdev -dl hdisk{1,2,3}, and run cfgmgr again. If they are still 'wrong', you will need to look at the wiring/position of the disk adapters to get them the same.

There are also ways to do this manually, but I don't recommend that. More documentation most people would not understand.

Hi,
I have 2 AIX nodes running HACMP. How do I get the 2 nodes with the same hdisk#.

node1: active. with all FS mounted.
hdisk0 00c018cacacbabf3 rootvg active
hdisk1 00c0116ad056e074 datavg1 concurrent
hdisk2 00c011aeda31a029 datavg2 concurrent
hdisk3 00c0121eca9b0291 datavg3 concurrent

node2:
hdisk0 00c0143d2a3b902a rootvg active
hdisk1 00c0116ad056e074 datavg1 concurrent
hdisk2 00c0121eca9b0291 datavg3 concurrent
hdisk3 00c011aeda31a029 datavg2 concurrent

On Node 2, hdisk2 and hdisk3 are switched compared to NODE1. How do I get NODE2 to look like NODE1 when I do a "lspv". I can't varyoffvg as they are online.
Thanks.
