Title: VIO and Dual-NIC Ethernet cards Post by: RodeDraak on November 28, 2007, 03:48:13 PM Hi All,
Is there a catch in using a dual-nic ethernet card with VIO? I have 2 SEA's, each on one of the NIC's from the card. The upper NIC is running fine, the other NIC has connection problems. The problems are that most of the time the network just won't come online. I'm running VIO 1.4.1-92 and AIX 5300-07-01-0748. Regards, Richard. VLAN, PVID, what happens when the "good" VIO server is down, etc..
A solution with dual VIO servers is quite common - so let's just go thru the design and see what we find. Title: Re: VIO and Dual-NIC Ethernet cards Post by: RodeDraak on November 30, 2007, 08:31:49 AM Never mind, it appears one of the two NIC's is failing.
IBM is sending out a new card today. |
